Welcome to Mr. Turner's Webpage! I teach English IV (World Literature), English II (American Literature), and HSPA. I am also the advisor for TREND. I received a B.F.A. in Drama from Catholic University, and then I went on to Rutgers University for an M.F.A. in Acting. Yes, I love theatre, drama, poetry and the world of ideas! I also have an M.A. from St. Peter's College in Educational Administration, and I am two courses away from completing a third Master's in English Education from N.Y.U. I guess you can say that I am a life long learner. I am also an avid basketball, football, and baseball fan. (Go Phils!! Ryan and Chase, we need you back!) In my classes, we will use Essential Questions to ponder the "big ideas" and hopefully come to appreciate the beauty and power of language. We will also engage in authentic assessments focused on critical thinking, problem solving, and higher order thinking skills that link our classroom learning to real world tasks.
