Hackettstown Public Schools Mission Statement
 
Building on tradition and success, the mission of the Hackettstown School District is to educate and inspire students through school, family, and community partnerships so that all become positive, contributing members of a global society, with a life-long commitment to learning.
It is the expectation of this school district that all pupils achieve the New Jersey Core Curriculum and Common Core Content Standards at all grade levels.

HPSD Strategic Planning
 
Hackettstown Public School District’s has completed its Strategic Planning process for the 5-year plan from 2026-2031. The District held three planning sessions:

    • Session 3:  March 2, 2026

    • 6:00 pm - (approximately) 7:30 pm

Each session built upon the previous one and provided opportunities for staff, families, community members, administrators, and board members to contribute meaningfully to the district’s direction.  The presentations and recaps for each session are below in the 2026-2031 documents.
 
The strategic planning process ensures that our goals, resources, and initiatives reflect the needs and aspirations of the entire school community. 
 
The Strategic Plan for 2026-2031 will be presented at the April 15, 2026 Board of Education Meeting.
