FRESHMEN, SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS – On Saturday, May 10, Congressman Scott Garrett will be hosting a Congressional District Service Academy Day at Warren County Technical School, Washington, NJ from 2:00 until 4:00 p.m.  The purpose of this event is to raise student awareness of the opportunities available at our U.S. Service Academies.

 

STUDENT AMBASSADORS AND PEER LEADERS will have a meeting on Monday, May 12th at 11 AM in the Auditorium  The purpose of our meeting is to discuss the 8th grade visit on May 27th and your role in the Tour/Track and Field Day for the 8th graders.  Only those members present at the meeting on Monday will be permitted to be a part of the Tour/Track and Field Day.  If you are unable to attend the meeting, please see Mrs. Russack by Friday, May 9th.  Thanks and hope to see you there!

SOPHOMORE CLASS: The Sophomore Trip has 20 seats available as of 5/6 and permission slip and money are due by May 15th.  Stop by E2 for a permission slip.

 

SOPHOMORES AND JUNIORS:  If you are interested in taking summer classes through the Centenary College Pilot Program, please stop by the guidance department and talk to your counselor as soon as possible.

 

DUAL ENROLLMENT CHANGES FOR THE ACADEMIC YEAR 2008-2009 A change to the Dual Enrollment Program with Warren County Community College will take effect for the academic year 2008-2009.  Warren County Community College will no longer require placement testing or SAT scores in order to receive college credit at no cost.  As a result, all that is required is a completed application for Dual Enrollment for each student participating.  Please get an application from the Guidance Department and complete it and return it to Guidance as soon as possible.  Should you have any questions please feel free to contact your Guidance Counselor.  The following courses are available for college credit.  AP English, AP Chemistry, AP Biology, Environmental Science, AP Calculus, Statistics, AP US History, Contemporary Social Issues,  AP Studio Art, Advanced Art Studio, Honors French III, Honors French IV, Honors Spanish III, Honors Spanish IV.

SENIORS!  -  Scholarship Bulletin #7 is now available in guidance.  Twenty-six scholarships are listed.  Pick up a copy today.

 

SENIORS!!!  Liberty Driving School in Hackettstown is sponsoring a $200.00 scholarship to any graduating senior who plans to enter college or technical school as a full-time student.  Applications are available in guidance.  All completed applications must be returned to guidance by May 10th.

 

SENIORS!!!  The Hackettstown Education Association is sponsoring a Future Teacher Award to any student planning to go into the field of education.  Applications are available in guidance.  Deadline…all

applications must be returned to guidance by May 15th.
