Hackettstown High School is organized for the purpose of educating
young people for a satisfying and productive life. Our challenge is to recognize each student
as an individual and to help each student develop a feeling of self worth.
Educators should stimulate the student to develop those attitudes, skills, and
ideals that will help him or her to become a useful and knowledgeable citizen
while ensuring that our school continues to affirm high moral and ethical
standards. In order to do that, Hackettstown High School offers an
environment that has tradition, pride and the goal of academic excellence at
its base. Students are challenged by
our caring, compassionate and dedicated teachers on a daily basis, creating a
rigorous academic environment where student achievement is realized both in
and out of the classroom. In order to achieve success, student responsibility and
discipline are instrumental. Students
must demonstrate responsibility in all facets of high school life and must be
accountable for their actions.
Students should understand that school is a dignified environment
therefore dress and behavior must always be appropriate. As educators, we prepare your son or
daughter for future education and employment, so every class, every
interaction and every challenge is relevant to their future. As part of the total community, we seek to cooperate with
the community, recognizing that this relationship contributes immensely to
the development of our youth. To that
end, we encourage parents to play a significant role in this cooperative
effort. It is our goal that everyone
feel connected to the school and we encourage each of you to stop by, call or
email us if you have any questions or concerns. We will, of course, do all
that we can to assist you. Finally we are anticipating an exciting school year and encourage
