HACKETTSTOWN STRATEGIC PLANNING
MEETING THE CHALLENGES OF THE 21ST CENTURY

Beginning in September, using a dynamic process provided by planning facilitators from The New Jersey School Boards Association, volunteer members of the State of the Schools Committee and State of the Community Committee worked together to develop the beliefs, mission and goals necessary to move the Hackettstown Public School District forward to meet the challenges of the 21st century.  Committee members consisting of teachers, administrators, and community members joined efforts to create a vision that directs, motivates, and inspires all members of the educational community to work together for the common good of Hackettstown’s students.

A Planning Conference was held in December to collectively present the findings of the State of the Schools and State of the Community Committees.  A mission statement, beliefs, goals, and objectives were determined. The next step will be the development of Action Plan Committees to address each one of the goals.  The action plans will then be finalized and presented to the Hackettstown Board of Education.

If you would like to be part of the creation of our district’s strategic plan, please consider participating on the Action Plan Committee.  Call Cindy D’Ottavio at our central office, 908-852-2800-extension 231 for additional information or to indicate your interest in participating on the committee.

Help us plan the future!  Be part of an exciting process!  Work with your neighbors, friends, teachers, and administrators to create a shared vision for the future of the Hackettstown School District.
