HACKETTSTOWN PUBLIC SCHOOLS The
District Goals - 2007-2008
School Year v
GOAL 1 -
Students will meet and/or exceed New Jersey State Benchmarks for Adequate
Yearly Progress (AYP) on State Assessments. v
GOAL 2 - K-12
programs will be developed for students who are academically, behaviorally
and physically at-risk. The
Hackettstown Board of Education will begin a strategic plan process during
the fall of 2007. Additional goals may
be added as a result of the new strategic plan. The
district plans to expand our communication capabilities through better
utilization of technology. In an effort to improve parent/teacher
communication, phones will be installed in all elementary and middle school
classrooms. All staff members will
have individual voice mail capability.
In addition to an enhanced website, a phone message system for parent
notification will be utilized. Beginning
in the fall of 2007, all district policies can be accessed through the link
on our district website. Policies can
change through direction from the New Jersey Department of Education,
legislation, and only after board of education review and approval. Please feel free to contact the District
Office at 908-850-6500 with questions. I
encourage you to read the report card narrative on each of our schools, http://education.state.nj.us/rc/rc06/menu/41-1870.html. Each principal provides information to help
you gain insight regarding the outstanding educational opportunities that
exist within our schools. We have
students that succeed and who receive support from an exceptional
professional staff. We
are proud of Hackettstown Public Schools.
Please visit our district website frequently for district-wide and
building specific information and announcements. Robert
