Hackettstown Student Re-Registration
The Hackettstown School District is proud to offer a high-quality public education to the children of our residents. As the result of the concerns recently raised by the municipality pertaining to the accuracy of our student enrollment numbers, the District is initiating a student re-registration process for all students in the District. Accordingly all students will have to re-register by providing 3 separate proofs of residency.
Information on this process has been mailed home. It is also available on this webpage as well as your Realtime parent portal under Documents.
Parents need to complete a Re-Registration form for each student they have in district. However, only one set of residency documentation need be provided per family. Additionally, parents may provide this documentation via mail, fax, in-person or returned with your children to any school in the district.
The three most common proofs of residency would be a copies of: (1) a driver's license, (2) a lease, mortgage, property tax bill, and (3) a utility bill. Those specific items are not required, however, and the Legal Notifications form discusses all of the various documents that you may use.
For your convenience the high school will be opened form 8:00 am to 11:00 am on Saturday, October 7 for anyone wishing to drop off copies off copies of the required documentation needed for re-registration. In addition to our normal business hours, office personnel will also be available at the High School, Middle School and Hatchery Hill Elementary schools from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm on Monday, October 9th.
Please contact your school directly if you have any issues providing the required information.
