District Mission, Plan & Goals

The Hackettstown Public School District is committed to fostering a welcoming, inclusive learning community where every student is valued, supported, and empowered to reach their fullest potential.  Through strong partnerships with families and the community, students receive high-quality instruction and individualized supports to ensure meaningful participation, achievement of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards, and success academically, socially, and emotionally to become positive, contributing members of a global society.

 

Goal Area No. 1: Academic Achievement; Enhance and expand District-wide academic programming to measurably increase student achievement and prepare all learners with the competencies required for post-secondary success and career readiness.

 

Goal Area No. 2: Special Education Services and Programming; Foster a District-wide culture of inclusion through comprehensive special education initiatives that provide targeted, individualized, meaningful pathways for student success.

 

Goal Area No. 3: Instructional Practices; Implement consistent, student-centered instruction that prioritized meaningful engagement and fosters enriching, lasting academic growth.

 

Goal Area No. 4: Climate and Culture; Cultivate and sustain a shared environment of ownership, belonging, and pride among students, staff, and the community.
